CH KASHI GILDED LACE
bred by Sue Dykes

We had our first Tibetan terrier (Leah) in 1992, and we thought it would be fun to show her
and went to the local show where she won got best puppy.
That show led to another show etc----Our first dog was a gold sable.  Two years  later a new puppy arrived (Nola) she was black.
We enjoyed showing and soon entered championship shows travelling up and down the country and I entered
the junior handling classes and young kennel club stakes classes at shows and achieved good placings .
Leah and Nola were now in the older classes and l wanted a puppy again but was told two is enough.

It was close to Christmas and l wanted a T.V. for Christmas,

little did l know that a puppy was on its way a complete surprise on Christmas day.

Lacey was very special we did everything together, showing handling, obedience, and agility.

Obedience is a discipline that is so necessary you think it is going to be boring but when the dog works close it gives you a buzz.
Lacey retrieves a dumbbell but it is hard to teach as they are not a natural retrieving dog.
Lacey also does scent and a sendaway, we always make it fun.

Handling has always been competitive, l have a glass cup engraved "K.C.J.O. Show Handler of the Year 1995"
age 8-11 years and a gold medal.(Crufts)

I won the John MacDougal Quaich at Crufts in 1999 for the triathlon.

In 2000, Lacey won Best Of Breed at Crufts, I could not ask for anything more,

she lives a quiet life now and lets the younger Tibetans do the running around.

It is hard work but rewarding when you win and the more time you give your dog, the better your reward.

This could not be achieved without the brains and the beauty of Lacey my best friend.
